III. General information on data processing

1. Why do we process personal data?

All personal data you have provided to us will be used exclusively for technical administration purposes in connection with our website and to satisfy your requests and specifications; i.e. as a general rule, to answer your queries.

2. Legal basis for processing personal data

If we ask for your consent to process your personal data, the legal basis for processing will be Art. 6 § 1 lit. a of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). When processing personal data required for the fulfilment of a contract to which you are a contracting party, the pertinent legal basis is Art. 6 § 1 lit. b GDPR. This also applies to processing operations required to execute pre-contractual measures. If we need to process personal data to satisfy a legal obligation to which our company is bound, Art. 6 § 1 lit. c GDPR is the legal basis.

If data processing is required to uphold a legitimate interest of our company or a third party, except in such cases where your interests, fundamental rights and freedoms outweigh such interests, Art. 6 § 1 lit. f of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) forms the legal basis for processing your personal data.

Within Schroeder & Schröder GmbH, access to your data is given to those people who require this information to answer your requests and meet your specifications. Service providers and agents commissioned by us can also have access to your data for these purposes.

We do not forward or otherwise transfer your personal data to third parties unless:

This is necessary for the purpose of executing the contract. It may, for example, be necessary to pass on your address and order details to our suppliers when ordering products;
this is necessary for accounting purposes;
you have given your prior consent.

4. Storage period

Personal data will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose for storing such data no longer applies. Data may be stored beyond this period, if provided for by EU or national legislators in Union rules, regulations or other provisions to which we are bound. 1. Provision of website and creation of logfiles

a) Description and scope of data processing Every time our website is visited, our system automatically collects data and information from the visiting computer’s system.

Specifically:

(1) Information on the browser type and version used
(2) The user’s operating system
(3) The user’s IP address
(4) Date and time of access
(5) Websites from which the user’s system reached our website
(6) Websites that the user’s system called up via our website

We store the above data in logfiles in our system. However, we do not store such data together with any other of the user’s personal data.

b) Legal basis for data processing
The legal basis for the temporary storage of the data and logfiles is Art. 6 §1 lit. f GDPR.

c) Purpose of data processing
Our system has to store your IP address on a temporary basis in order for it to deliver the website to your computer. To this end, the user’s IP address has to be stored for the duration of the session.

Data is stored in logfiles to ensure the website is able to function. Furthermore, the data help us to optimize our website and safeguard our IT system’s security. Data are not analyzed for marketing purposes in this context.

These purposes also represent our legitimate interest in processing data pursuant to Art. 6 §1 lit. f GDPR.

d) Duration of storage
We delete data as soon as they are no longer needed to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. With regard to data collected for the delivery of the website, this is the case once the respective session is over. In the case of data storage in logfiles, data is thus deleted at the latest [state period].

e) Objection and removal options
Collecting data for website provision and storing the data in logfiles is absolutely vital for operating the internet site. Consequently, the user has no grounds for objection.

The legal basis for processing data transmitted in the course of sending an email is Art. 6 § 1 lit. f GDPR. If the email contact serves to conclude a contract, the additional legal basis for processing is Art. 6§ 1 lit. b GDPR.

c) Purpose of data processing
We process personal data from the input field solely in order to process the contact request. If contact is made by email, this also constitutes our necessary legitimate interest in the processing of data. Other personal data processed during the sending procedure serve to prevent any misuse of the contact and to safeguard the security of our IT systems.

d) Storage period
Data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. For personal data from the contact form’s input field and data sent by email, this is the case when the respective conversation with the user is over. The conversation is over when it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been fully resolved.

Additional personal data collected during the sending process will be deleted after a period of seven days at the latest.

e) Objection and removal options
You can at any time revoke your consent regarding the processing of your personal data. If you contact us by email, you can revoke your consent to the storage of your personal data at any time. In such a case, the conversation cannot be continued. In this case, we will delete all personal data stored as a result of your contacting us.

VI. Your rights

You have the right of access pursuant to Article 15 GDPR, the right to rectification pursuant to Article 16, the right to erasure pursuant to Article 17 GDPR, the right to restriction of processing pursuant to Article 18 GDPR, the right to data portability pursuant to Article 20 GDPR and the right to object pursuant to Article 21 GDPR.

You can inform us of the revocation of your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time. Please note that revocation only applies in the future. It does not apply to data processed prior to your revocation of consent.

VII. Are you obliged to provide your personal information?
